Chronology of cameras Nagel

The company named after its founder, engineer Nagel, had a very short existence. Between its separation from Zeiss Ikon and its acquisition by Kodak, only four years elapsed. Consequently, there are only a few models bearing the Nagel brand.

Among these models, there are seven chamber camera models, categorized into three levels. All of them are made of metal and covered with leather.

__________

The high-end Nagel chambers are available in 9 x 12 and 6.5 x 9 cm sizes.

This particular example was sold in France as it features a Roussel Stylor lens. This practice of using French lenses was common between the wars. Strangely, the shutter is an Ibsor, whereas according to the catalog, only the Compur was fitted on the 9 x 12. This could be confirmed by finding other catalogs.
